  • Freedom Centre (FC) is here for young people (under 26) to support each other and their communities to be informed, happy and healthy about their sexuality, sex and gender. Our drop-in centre is a safe space to hang out, have fun, meet other LGBTIQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, Intersex, Queer, Questioning and otherwise diverse in their sexuality and/or gender) young people and get peer-support and info if you need it.

    What is Freedom Centre?
    We are a youth owned drop-in space for young people (under 26) who are LGBTIQQ. We also run workshops, retreats, activities and events. Find more below.

    Drop In Sessions
    One of the main things we do at FC is open the Centre for sessions so you can drop in, hang out, meet new people who know where you're coming from and get support & info that's right for you! more

    If you can't make it down to the Centre you can still stay in touch with the FC team on tumblr or check out our forum and be part of out online community! more

    Activities & Events
    At different times we run activities in the drop-in sessions and extras like our annual EPIC Retreat, biannual Sleepovers & we participate in community events like the Pride Parade. more

    FC knows how important it is to get the right info and to get it with respect! We have a great INFO section in this site and in the drop-in centre or you can contact the FC Coordinator, Dani (info@freedom.org.au /9482 0000 /9228 0354) to get the info you need.

    Isabelle Lake Memorial Fund

    The Isabelle Lake Memorial Fund provides the opportunity for trans young people (under 30) in Western Australia to apply for funds to cover some costs of activities, services or goods that advance the health, education, and/or alleviate poverty for young people who are trans.

    Workshops, Trainings, Professional Development & Resources
    Freedom Centre offers a range of trainings & presentations for professionals & workshops for groups and students. Trainings can cover issues faced by & how to support young people with diverse sexuality, sex &/or gender. Trainings are tailored to meet the needs of your organisation.

    We also provide information resources (see our Info page for downloads or Contact Us to order copies). Please Contact Dani, the Freedom Centre Coordinator to request an agency visit to FC, or for us to come to you for trainings, service info sessions or community events.
